The Union Rescue Mission is hosting its annual Night on the Street event on Thursday, March 11, 2010 beginning at 6:00 p.m. and lasting until midnight. Night on the Street is an event to raise the awareness of homelessness and annual operating funds for the Union Rescue Mission- Nehemiah House/Dorcas House.

Union Rescue Mission: Nehemiah House/Dorcas House staff and board members reside in boxes for six hours while phoning friends and family to raise money for operational expenses. The 2009 Night on the Street raised approximately $52,700. This year’s goal is $75,000. If your school, civic organization, or church group would like to become involved, then please contact Michelle Scroggins at 501-370-0808, ext. 101 or email her at mscroggins@urmission.org.

Another way to donate for Night On The Street is by sending a text.  Donate $10 to Union Rescue Mission by texting “RESTORE” to 85944.  Don’t forget to reply ‘yes’ to confirm.
