It is time for our annual Night on the Street fundraiser, and we need your help! Night on the Street is an event that raises awareness of homelessness in Central Arkansas but also allows us to raise our annual operating funds.
Union Rescue Mission: Nehemiah House/Dorcas House staff and board members reside in boxes for six hours while phoning friends and family to raise money for operational expenses. The 2011 Night on the Street raised approximately $59,000. This year’s goal is $70,000. We invite church groups, schools, civic organizations, college fraternities and sororities, and corporate teams to spend the “Night on the Street” with us to raise money. Your boxes will be provided and can be creatively decorated to show your school spirit, to acknowledge your church, or to proudly display your Greek letters. The group who raises the most money during the event will be recognized publicly for its efforts.
