Operation Rescue - Urgent Need

October 28, 2008

In an effort to reach the homeless population of Central Arkansas, the Union Rescue Mission will be handing out blankets, coats, gloves, and toboggans each night this week in Operation Rescue.

During Operation Rescue, the Union Rescue Mission is in desperate need of Styrofoam cups, coffee, gloves, coats, toboggans, new long underwear, and new socks. If you are interested in donating any of these items or assisting with Operation Rescue, then please contact Justin Mendez at 501-370-0808.

You may also make a financial contribution by clicking on the donate link on this website.

Donating Collected Items…

October 1, 2008

If you have collected items to donate to our men’s ministry, you may drop them off at our 3001 Confederate Blvd. location. Please contact 501-374-1108 to make sure there will be someone available to assist you. Currently, the Men’s Ministry is accepting winter clothes, food items, toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies (especially bleach), and coats.

If you have collected items to donate to the Dorcas House, you may drop them off at the Dorcas House. Please call 501-374-4022 for the address as it is not published to protect the women and children living in the house. Currently, the Dorcas House is only accepting winter clothes (women and children), food items, toilet paper, paper towels, toiletries, and feminine hygiene products.
